Jack Nicklaus and Pebble Beach represent the best that the game of golf has to offer.  Indeed, it was love at first sight for the then 21-year-old Nicklaus, who won the 1961 U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach for the second of his legendary 20 major victories...  Jack Nicklaus returned to Pebble Beach in 2000 for his record 44th consecutive Open appearance, and possibly his last.  "If I had one last round of golf to play," Nicklaus has said on many occasions, "it would be at Pebble Beach."
